According to the engineering service, beginning with 2016, all newly manufactured LADA 4x4 vehicles will feature an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Thus, AVTOVAZ has put its 4x4-automobiles in compliance with the Russian automotive security standards. Besides, beginning with January 2016, all LADA 4x4 series get a new radiator grille, which required modernization of the vehicle front welding line.

Mr. Yuri Nutrikhin, LADA 4x4 Small Series Subproject Manager said: “This has let us unify brake lines of all cars, as well as change the way of signal transmission to speedometer. Now the signal is received from wheel ABS sensors, which enabled us to give up using a standalone speed sensor formerly installed in the torque divider”.

Besides, now LADA 4x4 cars are equipped with one-piece clutch linkage manufactured in France. Tubes of the new linkage have quick detachable joints, which minimizes the risk of leak and decreases the assemblage labor. LADA 4x4 lovers would enjoy an optional step connection of the engine cooling system electric fan. Formerly, both fans were turned on at full output at once. Now they are turned on at one-half output at first, and then are switched to the maximum speed mode. The fans do not need to run at full output from the start, because the engine is warmed up gradually.

Besides, the trunk of LADA 4x4 has got a light and a socket for connecting a mobile refrigerator or an air pump. LADA 4x4 configuration with A/C now features seat electric heaters.

LADA 4x4 Urban will be painted in metallic and pastel shades. In the nearest future, a number of new enamels which were well-accepted at other models will be implemented in the LADA 4x4 painting line. Export versions of LADA 4x4 will feature alloy wheels.

AVTOVAZ arrangements for the current year provide for modernization of LADA 4x4 chassis, suspension, interior and exterior.
